Lesa Ann Best

Lesa Ann Best, age 60, of Newark, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2017 at her home. Lesa was born June 7, 1957 in Lancaster, Ohio. A 1980 graduate of Granville High School, Lesa attended The Ohio State University and served in the United States Army for two years. She was self-employed and the editor of the Nerk Aggrivate and was known by many as Red-haired Girl. Lesa is survived by her mother, Lora Lee (Baughman) DeMent of Heath; father, David Lee DeMent of Homestead, Florida; a brother, Chris (Julie) DeMent of Granville; sister, Leslie (Richard) Waugh of Millersport; nieces and nephews, Hannah and Emma Cassell; Nathan, Chloe, Ella and Tommy DeMent; cousins, Greg and Melissa Litton; and Fur Mom to Angus and Stewart. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Humane Society.
