Lesa J. Hinson

Lesa J. Hinson, 63, of Millersport, passed away on May 2, 2024 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born in Newark, Ohio on June 22, 1961 to the late Arthur C. and Marian M. Davis. Prior to retirement, Lesa worked at Blessed Sacrament School in Newark for many years. She was a member of Fletcher Chapel Church in Millersport. Lesa loved to go camping, kayaking and traveling with her sister. She had an eye for color and detail, inheriting her craftmanship from her father. She would start with nothing and turn it into something special. She loved to cook and hang around the kitchen with family, surrounded by love and laughter. Lesa loved the simple farm life, enjoying nature, her grandchildren, food, art and beer. Lesa’s last wish was for everyone to meet at Buckeye Lake, have a picnic, tell stories and share memories. Survivors include her loving husband, Matthew B. “Matt” Hinson; son, Steven Lee (Jennifer) Smith; daughter, Amber Lynn Smith; brothers, Terrance (Joan) Davis, Jeff Davis and Scott Davis; son-in-law, Sam Wiles; sister-in-law, Carla Davis; grandchildren, Andrew Settles, Destinee Wiles, Anthony Green, Makenah Smith and Madilee Smith; great grandchildren, Jaxon M. Settles and Baby Boy Settles; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marian Nicole Smith; sister, Diana Davis; and brother, Jerry Davis. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lesa to, Blessed Sacrament School, 394 E. Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
