Lester Ray Keller

Lester Ray Keller, 85, of Millersport, died Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Flint Ridge Nursing Center under the care of Generation Hospice. He was born December 17, 1936, in Millersport to the late Oliver and Sylvia (Boyer) Keller. Lester graduated from Millersport High School class of 1954. He was a self-employed farmer and devoted much of his time to working his farm. Lester was active in his church; serving as Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and in many other church positions throughout the years. He was a man of few words and was a kind and gentle man. He was known for his pristine vegetable garden and growing large watermelons. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maryland; three sons, Dennis (Melissa), Randy (Karen), and John (Angela) Keller; grandchildren, Matthew Keller, Nick (Amanda) Keller, Erica (Justin) Brown, Dr. Tiffany (Chris) Burneka, and Kimberly (Nick) Mason; nine great grandchildren; sister, Luella (Ron) Shew; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Loren, and Owen Keller; two sisters, Eileen Meeks and Beatrice Boltenhouse; and one great-grandson Andrew Keller. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville; and one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday from 10-11am. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Seymour officiating. Burial will follow the service in Kirkersville Cemetery.
