Levi Alexander Newman

A funeral service honoring the life of Levi Alexander Newman, age 12, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Humble officiating.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Levi was born March 10, 2011 in Newark, Ohio. He passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital following a valiant battle with cancer.

Levi was a 7th grader at Lakewood Middle School. He loved to play video games, especially Fortnite. He was an avid fisherman and loved to watch YouTube videos, play baseball, listen to music, and was a fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Most of all, Levi loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Kory Newman (fiancée Ashley Spangler); mother and step-father, Chelsea Holland (fiancé Keith Dunlap); sisters and brothers, Alexis, Jaxson, Amelia, Addileigh, and Ryder; maternal grandparents, Sue and Dave Cunningham; paternal grandparents, Janet and Phil Newman; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his best friend, Zayden Beck.
