Lila M Swetnam

Lila Marguerite Oyler Swetnam, 93, of Granville, passed away at her home on Saturday morning, December 19, 2020 with her family at her side. She was born in Licking County on October 7, 1927, the daughter of the late Lloyd Alva and Theresa Maude (Seymour) Oyler. Lila was a graduate of Kirkersville H.S., class of 1945, active in the Kirkersville United Methodist Church for many years and worked for Park National Bank for over 23 years.

A loving mother, grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to garden, travel, read and golf. On May 5, 1945, she married her childhood sweetheart, Richard “Dick” Swetnam celebrating their 75th Anniversary this year.

She is survived by her husband, her children: Linda (Roger) Ridgley, Brenda Woolpert,
Randall (Sharon) Swetnam and Richard (Vicki) Swetnam; grandchildren: Shelly Clemons,
Rusty (Janet) Kuseski, Rhett (Tina) Kuseski, Jennifer Hilyard, Toni (David) Carpenter, Chad Swetnam,
Nikki (Mark) Zimmerman, Jason (Sarah) Swetnam and Jared Swetnam; great grandchildren: Tiffany and Kiera Bowlby, Korey Kuseski Rockafellow, Vanessa (Dominic) Lucero, Ezekiel (Aja) Carpenter, Shailyn Mullett, Rhys and Eryn Hilyard, Tessah, Tori and Hudson Zimmerman, Caleb, Evan and Greyson Swetnam and great grandchildren: Sophia Bowlby and Brooklyn Lucero as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her younger brother Eddy, sister Marvene (Lewis) Bumgarner, brother Don (Patty) Oyler, and granddaughter Libby Ridgley.

Due to COVID 19 private family services were held at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial following in the Kirkersville Cemetery.
