Lillian Huffman

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Lillian Huffman, 80, of Heath, will be held Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 5 :00 P.M. in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of The Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, with Pastor Tom Gill as celebrant. Burial will follow on Monday, December 24, at 10:30 A.M. in the Sunset Cemetery, Galloway. Lillian died Friday afternoon, December 21, 2012, in Newark following an extended illness. She was born in Columbus, on July 31, 1932, the daughter of the late Frank and Viola (Ball) Gantt. She worked for the US Government for many years, at DCSC, and Heath Air Force Station. She was a member of The Gathering Place Church at Fairfield Beach, Eagon Chapter #123, Order of Eastern Star, Hebron, and at one time was an active member of Welsh Hills Players. She enjoyed reading, music, singing and playing the piano and organ. Her home was a welcoming place, and she enjoyed caring for others. She is survived by her children: Bill (Sandy) Wisecarver of Columbus, Gary (Jane) Bowen of Hebron, Darrell Bowen of Sacramento, Ca., Jeanette (Scott) Beckett of Hebron, Brian Bowen of Livermore, Ca., Frank Bowen of Heath, step-daughters: Sharon (Gary) Chiles of Remington, Va. And Marjorie (Douglas) Almeter of Suttons Bay, Mi.; a brother Richard (Grace) Gantt of Hilliard; along with her 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Snow, step-daughters Kimberlea and Georgann Snow, her brothers George, Leo and Carl, and her husband Roger Huffman. Friends may call on Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 2-5 P.M. at the funeral home, 285 E Main St. In Kirkersville.
