A funeral service, celebrating the life of Lillian Rose Simon Johnson, 88, of Whitehall, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Barb Parrot as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.Lillian went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, March 8, 2016, in Columbus. She was born June 7, 1927, in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Bertha Lillian (Applegate) Simon. She worked for many years at the Selby shoe factory in Portsmouth, and then at Dunkin Donuts on E. Broad St. in Whitehall, where she was affectionately known as the donut lady.An avid sports fan, she loved the Cincinnati Reds, OSU Buckeyes and her #5, NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne.She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Gary Johnson, and her former husband Harold Leo Johnson, along with her 6 brothers, her grandson Teddy Ford and son-in-law Ted Ford.She is survived by her loving family: daughters Patti Robb and Judy Ford (companion Homer Stevens), both of Whitehall, two brothers Ronald Simon of Whitehall and Roger Simon of Circleville, many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.Friends may call on Friday, March 11, 2016, from 5 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m.The family wishes to thank the nursing staffs on the second and fourth floors at Mt.
