A Funeral service, celebrating the life of Lillian Oakel Sites, 81, of Baltimore, will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 10:30 am at Mt. Zion Church, 4810 Blacklick Eastern Road, Baltimore, with Reverend Mike Doak officiating, with burial following at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster.Lillian passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Pickering House with family by her side. She was born August 12, 1931, in Baltimore, Ohio to the late George W. and Hazel M. (Koontz) Myers. She graduated from Etna High School and retired from Crown Zellerbach. Lillian loved her family and enjoyed gardening, growing roses and playing the piano. She was a life long member of Mt. Zion Church, Baltimore Senior Citizens and Fairfield Beach Senior Citizens.Lillian is survived by her children: Larry (Kate) Sites, Tuscon, Arizona, Gary (Sandi) Sites, St. Louisville, Richard (Janet) Sager, Baltimore, Marcia (Tim) Carpenter, Somerset, Beth Ann (Todd) Walton, Mt.Perry, Loretta (Tim) Megahan, Lancaster and George (Colleen) Sites, Somerset, 23 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, sisters: Thelma Mauger, Dorothy Davis, Evelyn (Howard)Worrell, Donna (Denny) Keller, Glenna Young, Karen Boyer and Lois (Joe) Valdez, sister-in-law Laura Folden and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Hazel, husband: Lawrence Shorty Sites, sisters: Mildred Moore, Sarah Scheidegger, Carol McKibben.Friends may call on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 South Main Street, Baltimore.
