A graveside service celebrating the life of Linda Lou “Joey” Lenegar, age 79, of Heath, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, at Wilson Cemetery with Pastor Troy Kahler officiating.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 16, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, masks must be worn inside the funeral home. For your protection, a maximum of 35 guests will be allowed inside at one time. Please practice social distancing.
Joey was born January 2, 1942 in Newark, Ohio to the late Oren Clyde and Edna Virginia (Riggleman) Kinney. She passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Candy (Rodney) Hupp, Sally Jo Lenegar and Jean Ann Sunkle, all of Newark; step-daughter, Annette Buckler of Portsmouth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna J. Dean of Heath and Carolyn Mitchell of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Clayton Lenegar in March 16, 1998; by a daughter, Samantha Lenegar; step-daughter, Carol Ann Parker; sister, Beverly Ann Yoakam; and brother, Willard Dale Baker.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carol Strawn Center.
