Linda Petrey

Linda Sue Petrey, 66, of Denham Springs, LA, formerly of Thornville, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at her home. She was born on October 21, 1947 in Charleston, WV., daughter of the late Charles Creech and Betty (Harper) Creech, who survives. Linda enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, making crafts such as wreaths and other handcrafts, and music.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, David Petrey (Angie Stiltner); daughters, Chasity Petrey (James Hill) and Lori Petrey; six grandchildren: James and Kimberly Petrey, Marvin, Marcus, and Brandon Jenkins, and Austin Holsinger; two brothers, Charles (Laura) Creech and Charles Goff; two sisters, Becky Santee and Sharon (Peter) Hardvara; sisters-in-law, Ida Gennettenn and Eve Petrey; brother-in-law, Danny (Alice) Petrey; as well as several nieces and nephews.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Petrey, Sr.A funeral service celebrating Lindas life will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main St., with Pastor Norman Harper officiating.
