A funeral service celebrating the life of Lisa Marie Ball, age 49, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 24, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Lisa was born November 9, 1967 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Polly (Foreman) Hollar of Newark and the late William Hollar. She passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Lisa had been employed with Tim Hortons on Brice Road in Columbus and in Heath, at Arbys on North 21st Street in Newark and at Duke and Duchess on Mount Vernon and Deo Drive in Newark. She was an active member of the Second Church of Christ and loved going to church and helping with activities at the church. She enjoyed reading, camping, coloring books, crafts and decorating. She loved spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, Polly, she is survived by her husband, Richard J. Ball, whom she married November 5, 1993; sons, David (Cheyenne) Ball and Jimmy (Norma) Ball, all of Newark; step-son, Arlin Hill of Newark; daughters, Elizabeth King of Newark and Trudy (Dan) Reeves of Coshocton; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Lily) Hollar of Newark; sisters, Beth Bline and Mindy (Jamy) Mitchell, all of Newark and Laura (Mark) Young of Cadiz, Kentucky; nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Amber Mead of Marion and Kelly Summers of Parkersburg, West Virginia. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Lori Mears.
