Lisa Ann Williams

August 19, 1962 — July 17, 2021

Lisa Ann (Poffenbarger) Williams, 58, of Etna, passed away suddenly on July 17, 2021. She was born August 19, 1962 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Varney) Poffenbarger.

Lisa was a graduate of Ft Hayes Career Center, class of 1980 in the cosmetology program. She loved to travel, some of her favorite places were the Smokey mountains, Cherokee North Carolina and museums around the country. She was a skilled cake decorator, and enjoyed creating memorable cakes for others to enjoy. She was an avid reader.

Lisa had a creative and caring spirit. Her creativity was expressed through poetry, photography, crafts and cooking. She cared for others, starting caring for children at a young age, volunteering at a nursing home, and even donating over five gallons of blood to the American Red Cross.

She is survived by her loving family: Her husband Tim, whom she married on April 5, 1981. She met Tim at Indianola junior high school in Columbus in the typing class. Lisa used to kid Tim saying” boy, you sure are slow” when it came to his typing rate. Lisa is also survived by her daughter Beth, brother-in-law Jim Hannah and his daughters Jenn and Emily, along with Jenn’s sons Zak, Jake and Nic; other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents Altie Mae and William Varney; her sister Rita Hannah and Rita’s son (her special nephew) James “Bub” Hannah III and her brother Ken Aboe.

Honoring Lisa’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time. There will be a celebration of life at a date closer to her birthday. Details will be forthcoming.

HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for Lisa and her family.
