A Funeral service, celebrating the life of Lizabeth Lynn Moats, 64, of Heath, will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Thornville Home of The Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service, with the Rev. William Ferguson officiating. At Lizabeths request, cremation will follow and private family burial will follow at a later date. Lizabeth died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Columbus, following an extended illness. She was born in Lancaster on January 18, 1948, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (White) McCann. She was a graduate of Lancaster H.S., class of 1966, had worked for Anchor-Hocking in Lancaster for many years, substitute taught in various schools during their years in Georgia, and recently worked with the Heisey glass museum in Newark. She was a member of the Auxillary of the American Legion, Post 85 in Newark. She is survived by her husband Paul, her son Joseph (Daisy) Moats, who after completing four tours of Iraq, is stationed with the 101st Airborne in Germany; her grandchildren Joseph Jr. and Jordyan; her brothers Michael (Debra) McCann and Daniel Robert McCann, both of Columbus and a nephew Daniel. Roman Catholic by faith, she attended several area churches prior to her declining health. Friends may send messages of condolences to the family at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.
