A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lloyd Fyffe, age 88, of Thornville, will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating. Burial will follow in Jacksontown Cemetery with the Buckeye Lake VFW providing military honors.Lloyd was born in Hitchins, Kentucky on December 20, 1926 to the late Mark and Lona (Hay) Fyffe. He passed away at his residence on February 19, 2015.Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Prior to retirement, he worked for Rockwell International for over 30 years. He was a member of the Buckeye Lake VFW #1388; Buckeye Lake Eagles #2801; Thornville AmVets #51; and Good Sam Camping Club. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with his family and friends.Survivors include his children, Lloyd (Bonnie) Fyffe of Hebron, Becky (Steve) Patterson of Thornville, Gwen (Thomas) Hannigan of Millersport and Nancy (Mike) Eisel of Columbus; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Humphrey) Fyffe in 2010; grandson, Anthony Luckeydoo; and brothers, Richard Fyffe and Leroy Hay.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lloyd to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430.The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 56 S.
