Lois Fern Lyle

Lois Fern Lyle, 92, passed away on Monday morning, June 22, 2015 at Walnut Ridge Assisted Living in Walnut Cove, NC.She was born April 26, 1923, in Perry County, to Floyd Herman and Faye Marie Swinehart King. Lois was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Thornville, Ohio, and was retired from Akron General Hospital as a nurse. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and African violets. Mrs. Lyle served her country proudly in the United States Navy, during WWII.A 3:00 p.m. funeral service, celebrating her life will be held on June 26, 2015 at the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation service, with Pastor Beth Bateson as celebrant. Burial with full military honors will follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lyle was preceded in death by her husband Harold F. Lyle, and brother Raymond King.She is survived by two daughters: Jane Hartman and husband Al of Belews Creek, NC, and, Anne Tucker of Denver CO; 3 grandchildren Jo Rierson and husband Bryan, Jenny Schulte and husband Frank, and Lon Tucker (Shahila), 2 great granddaughters Keili Tucker and Aukele Waninui-Tucker, and one on the way due in August, sister-in-law Winifred King, of Thornville, brother-in-law Larry Lyle and wife Mary, of Charlotte, NC.The family will receive friends Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Thornville Home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 South Main St. in Thornville from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon.Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church 65 E.
