Loretta Fisher

Loretta Fisher, 90 formerly from Millersport, passed away on September 28, 2021, two days shy of her 91st birthday, at Altercare Newark South. She was born September 30, 1930, in Buckeye Lake to the late Francis “Dude” Devoll and Annie Burns.

Loretta in earlier years enjoyed boating at Buckeye Lake, fishing, reading, playing the lottery, and genealogy. Most recently she enjoyed spending time with her family and reminiscing over family photos. Loretta loved music and made sure that her daughter and granddaughter learned how to play the piano at a young age. Loretta, known to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as Nannie, loved watching them grow through the years and was proud of each of them.

Loretta is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bradford and Della Schmitt, and daughters, Maciva McMasters and Elizabeth Fisher; Grandchildren Angela (Jim) Hall, Ian Schmitt, Adrienne Schmitt, Kyle McMasters, Annie Evans, Jaycee Evans, Olivia Bivens; Great-Grandchildren Jescika (Jake) Lahmon, Jensen Schmitt, Laila Schmitt, Suly Schmitt, Jacobey Schmitt; Great-Great Grandchildren Jakob Joseph and Riley Lahmon.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dude and Annie, brother John Burns, sisters Ann Kauk and Charla Drummond and infant daughter, Jamie Schmitt.

There will be no service per Loretta’s wishes.

The family would like to thank the staff at Altercare Newark South, for taking care of her these past few years and to Beth from Hospice for your unwavering support during her final hours.
