A funeral service, celebrating the life of Loretta Johnson, 81 of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2015, in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Pataskala Cemetery. Loretta died early Friday, February 13, 2015, in Columbus. She was born January 24, 1934, in Van Lear Kentucky, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Effie Perry. She was retired from Western Electric in Columbus; and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved flowers. She is survived by her daughters Cathy (Eugene) Messer of Etna, Alice Messer of Kirkersville and Roxanne (Lawrence) Dobbins of Buckeye Lake, grandchildren Shawn David Messer, Paul J. Keyes, Loretta Shull, Brandy Gettles, Debbie Messer, James Dobbins, Andrew Dobbins; 8 great grandchildren; brother Walter (Liz) Perry, sister Lavada Campbell; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two daughters Anita Johnson and JoAnn Keyes; and brothers Frankie and Hedgell and her sister Eunoka. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E Main St in Kirkersville.
