Loretta Irene Snider (Dodrill), aged 81, passed away at her home in Hebron, Ohio, on October 23, 2024. Born on July 1, 1943, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Ted and Isabel Dodrill, Loretta lived a life full of love, dedication, and skill that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

A proud member of Lakewood High School’s Class of 1960, Loretta met her soulmate, Larry Snider, during those formative years. The two would go on to share 64 years of beautiful marriage, raising four children and building a life centered around family, community, and mutual respect.

Loretta was an extraordinary seamstress, her remarkable talent turning fabrics into cherished pieces of art. Whether through sewing, crocheting, or knitting, her hands crafted countless beloved keepsakes that will live on as tokens of her love. She also served as a devoted National Trail Flamette, a role through which she provided care and support to the men and women of the National Trails Volunteer Fire Department. A cherished member of the Brownsville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, she served as Deputy Grand Matron for District 12 in 1991, holding her Star family close to her heart.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Larry; her sister-in-law Yvonne Flowers; her children Threese Dilley, Denisea (Larry) Crossan, Larry (Kim) Snider, and Marcie (Ryan) Wheatley; and her cherished 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren with another due any day, special nieces and nephews who filled her life with joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law Hazel and Bill Snider, her brother Ronnie Dodrill, and her sisters-in-law Carol Yerian and Hattie Mae Lane.
