Lorieal Bennett

A funeral service celebrating the life of Lorieal Bennett, 45 of Newark, will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Tim Sowards officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Lorieal was born in Gatesville, Texas on December 23, 1976 to the late Jerry Taylor and Kim (Rager) Stockdale, who survives. She passed away at her residence on August 7, 2022. Lorieal was a member of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club; She enjoyed reading, crocheting , watching movies, riding horses, light houses and John Deere tractors. Most important was the time she spent with her family and friends and will be missed by everyone that knew her. In addition to her mother, survivors include her loving husband of 23 years, Donnie E. Bennett, Jr., whom she married October 2, 1999; sons, Stacey LeMaster, Tristan Taylor and Joseph Bennett; maternal grandmother, Roberta Gordon; sister, Lacey Taylor; grandchildren, Ava Dawn LeMaster, Nova Mae LeMaster and Sophia Jade LeMaster; niece, Nicole Crozier; nephew, Michael Crozier; and many cousins and friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard Gordon; paternal grandparents, William “Buddy” and Mary Taylor.
