Lorna Mary Morgan

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorna Mary Morgan, 89 of Newark, will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, with Father Anthony Lonzo as officiant. Entombment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2nd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Lorna was born in Zanesville, Ohio on November 15, 1933 to the late Frank and Frances (Musselman) Long. She passed away on February 23, 2023 at Altercare South Newark. Lorna graduated from Bishop Rosecrans High School, class of 1953 and was a member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. She was a devoted homemaker to her family. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Christina (Terry) Hopkins; sons, James “Dan” (Terry) Conley, Mark Conley and William (Deborah) Conley; sister, Emelda (Frank) Scurlock; brothers, Joe Long, Jack (Pam) Long and Jim (Patty) Long; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Morgan; sisters, Rita, Dorthea, Theresa and Margaret; and brothers, Henry and William. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lorna to the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 394 E. Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
