Lorraine Hall

A funeral service celebrating the life of Lorraine Hall, age 84, of Heath, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Jerry Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

Lorraine was born September 27, 1938 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Eddie and Draxie (Mitchell) Hamilton. She passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Lorraine was a nurse and had been employed with Pine Kirk Nursing Home in Kirkersville for many years. She was a member of the St. Louisville Free Will Baptist Church and also the Columbia Center Community Church in Pataskala. Lorraine enjoyed singing and sang Gospel and Bluegrass music with her husband. She also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, writing stories, and was best known by her family for her delicious Southern cooking.

She is survived by her loving husband, Orville Hall, whom she married January 28, 2011; sisters, Barbara Diehls and Faye Humphreys; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Harris; two daughters, Geraldine Bussey and Irene Spillman; brother, Al Hamilton; and sister, Sylvia Ruckel.
