A funeral service celebrating the life of Lottie P. Rine, 94, of Howard, Ohio, will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Nick Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Barnes Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, masks must be worn inside the funeral home and please practice social distancing. Lottie was born in Licking County on June 12, 1926 to the late Mark and Carrie (Jewell) Banks. She passed away at Mt. Vernon Health and Rehab Center on April 27, 2021. Lottie enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, bowling and traveling. Most important was the time she spent with her loving family; and she was known to help anyone who was in need. Survivors include her children, Dianne (David) Dunbar, Dora Jean (Tim Miller) Able, Charles Rine, Leonard (Connie) Rine; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ridgway; and granddaughter, Tiffany Ridgway. All of her sisters, Dorothy Kent, Susie Keaser, Shirley Weaver, Bessie Romine; brothers, Orville, Norman, Howard, Wayne, Harrison, Paul; and step-brother John. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lottie to Compassionate Friends of Mt. Vernon or to InCare Ohio Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
