Loyd Trickle

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Loyd R. Trickle, 75, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016 in the chapel of the CRISS WAGNER HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 179 Granville St. in Newark, with his step-father Rev. Robert A. Simpson as officiant. Burial with full military honors will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.Loyd died August 16, 2016 following an extended illness. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA., on September 5, 1940 the son of the late Nelson B. and Bette Ann (Carter) Trickle.He served his country honorably in the US Marine Corps, and was a successful business man, owning pizza shops and a moving company in Newark for many years. He was a member of the Newark Post of the American Legion, The Licking County detachment of the Marine Corps League and the Licking County Veterans Alliance. He attended the Zion Christian Union Church.In addition to his step-father he is survived by his siblings: Linda Meyer, Alan Trickle, Carol Ault,and Connie Simpson, many nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Licking County Veterans Alliance in his honor. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
