Lucille V. Vaughn

A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Lucille V. Vaughn, 84, of Newark, will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with Pastor Troy Kahler officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, two hours prior to the funeral service, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.Lucille was born in Fort Gay, WV on September 26, 1930 to the late Arthur and Bertha (Gibson) Winchell. She passed away at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab Center on May 31, 2015.Prior to retirement, she was a nurses aide at the Newark Healthcare Center for over 15 years.Survivors include her children, James Sturgill, Shirley (Doug) Adkins, Elizabeth (Wayne) Zigan and Alan Vaughn; brother, Vernon Winchell; sister, Virgie Fae Meade: 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Vaughn; son, Henry Sturgill; brothers, Clyde Winchell and Ray Winchell; sisters, Alpha Mae Boggs, Mary Frasher and Shirley Johnson.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for the Vaughn family.
