Lyle James Wunder

A funeral service celebrating the life of Lyle James Wunder, 89, of Utica, will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Lyle was born in Sandusky, Ohio on January 5, 1933 to the late Leroy Wunder and Christine (Bango) Wunder. He passed away on January 23, 2022 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. Prior to retirement, Lyle worked for Rockwell International for nearly 40 years. Survivors include his children, Leonard Wunder, Mary Wunder and Christopher Wunder; grandchildren, James (Danielle) Wunder, Nick Wunder, Thomas Wunder and Ricky (Shalee) Wunder; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna L. Wunder; and a son, Lyle J. Wunder.
