Marilyn Ann Bush

Marilyn Ann Bush, age 77, of Newark, passed away on August 11, 2018 at the Laurels of Heath. Marilyn was born January 24, 1941 in Newark, Ohio to the late James Varner and Mary (Grove) Varner Shannon.

Marilyn was a homemaker and babysitter. She had been a volunteer at Hazelwood Elementary and enjoyed drawing, coloring, listening to Willie Nelson and was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes. She was a member of the Southgate Church of Christ.

She is survived by three children, Shawn L. Bush, Troy L. Bush and Lisa C. Harmon, all of Newark; four grandchildren, Heaven Keeran, Brandee Keeran, Nathan Bush and Jamee LeMay; great grandchildren, Alexis Lee, Julian Kincaid, Cameron Kincaid and Kenneth Molden; brothers, Bill (Jo) Shannon and Tim Shannon, both of Newark; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Bush, on September 12, 1999; and a son, James Kenneth Bush.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
