Marilyn Diane Messina

A funeral service celebrating the life of Marilyn Diane Messina, age 62, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Marilyn was born December 18, 1955 in Boomer, West Virginia to the late Albert Ray and Norma L. (Thornton) Hall. She passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).

Marilyn was an avid reader and loved spending time with her children.

She is survived by four children, Billy (Carrie) Messina, Chad (Mary) Messina, James (Michelle) Messina and Sonja Messina (Sasha Grigorian); grandchildren, Dominic and Lavasha Messina, Gracie and Sophia Messina, Wyatt and Rachel Messina and Garri and Vladimir Grigorian; brothers, James (Angie) Hall and David (Pamela) Hall; many nieces and nephews and family in West Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rick Hall and Stephen Hall; and a great-niece, Cortney Kean.
