Marilyn Simmons

A graveside inurnment service celebrating the life of Marilyn Simmons, age 82, of Mount Vernon, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1, at Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Eric Miller officiating.

Marilyn was born March 9, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Maurice and Beatrice (Willard) Simmons. She passed away on July 5, 2023 at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Larry Welsh of Peachtree City, Georgia; and dear friends at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Welsh; and by her brother, Richard J. Simmons.
