Marion H. Marquart, 90, of Thornville, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Kindred Healthcare in Newark. He was born on January 26, 1924 in Bluffton, son of the late John and Cora (Balmer) Marquart. Marion proudly served his country as an Army Sergeant in Europe during WWII. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #342 and the VFW Post #1388. Marion enjoyed farming, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving family: sons, David Marquart, and Ronald (Deloris) Marquart; granddaughter, Rhonda Marquart; sisters, Shirley Benham and Patricia (Fred) Arnold; brother, Norman (Linda) Marquart; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shirley; sisters, Ruth, Mary, and Thelma; and brothers, Howard, John Jr., and Ivan. A funeral service, celebrating Marions life, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in the chapel of the Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S.
