Marjorie Ann Ewing

A Funeral Mass, celebrating the life of Marjorie A. Ewing, 99, formerly of Pataskala, will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Buckeye Lake, with Fr. Vincent Nguyen as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, June 20th, from 6-8 p.m. in the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service.

Marge passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Columbus with her family at her side. She was born March 9, 1925, in Columbus, the daughter of the late John and Jean (Grieve) Ritz. She grew up on the south side of Columbus and was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School, Class of 1942, and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Throughout her long life, Marge was a homemaker and Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Vaughan to show their prize-winning Morgan Horses. She was active in the Ohio Morgan Horse Association.  Marge remained an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she volunteered for VBS and Food Pantry ministries. She also enjoyed Seniors lunches on Monday at the church.

She is survived by her loving family: daughters Sue (Jerry) Keller, Barb (Dan) Spence, and Debbie (Scott) Harris; her grandchildren Kristi (Scott) Holman, Kevin (Molly) Keller, Jessica (Josh) Daley, Karen (Brian) Nethers, Jason (Lynley) Harris; along with her 11 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vaughan Ewing, whom she married on August 7, 1953; her siblings Jean Bigler (Ray), John Ritz (Joan) and Tom Ritz (Martha).

The family prefers memorial contributions in her memory be directed to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Food Pantry, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
