Margie was born November 10, 1953 in Newark, Ohio to the late Rodney H. and Mattie Lee (Davis) Blake. She passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the home of her daughter in Palm Bay, Florida.
Margie received an Associates degree in Secretarial Science and retired from Rockwell/Meritor where she was an administrative assistant for many years. She was a member of the Bethel Rock House of Prayer in Newark. Margie loved Jesus, going to church, and reading the Bible. She also enjoyed watching Westerns. She loved her family and her grandkids more than life itself and called her daughter, Erica, her “everything”. She was known as TeeTee by her four nieces and five nephews and had a special love for each of them. Margie’s favorite color was purple and she loved anything purple. Over the years she enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. Margie had a contagious laugh, loved to talk, and was always the life of the party.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Erica Wynette (Blake) and Dwight “Braxton” Frankenbery; grandchildren, Ryne (Alexandra Hyde) Frankenbery and River Davis; brothers, Ronald (Michelle “Chellie”) Blake and Roger (Lucinda “Cindy”) Blake; sisters, Desiree Blake and Romy (Greg) Blake; half-sister, Kathy Harris; special niece and nephew, Jerrica Blake and Jeremy Blake; her bird friend, Edward; and her granddogs, Billy and Tito.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William LaPaugh; and two brothers, Rodney “Mann” Blake, Jr. and Roderick “Ricky” Blake.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, OH 43055.
