Marjorie Sloan

    Marjorie Sloan, 94, of Newark, passed away on November 17, 2018 at her residence.  She was born in Newark, Ohio on September 24, 1924 to the late Emmett E. and Madeleine (Hull) Bebout. Prior to retirement, Marjorie was a cook at various restaurants around the Newark area.  She loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her two children, Hawanna Disbennett and Larway “Butch” (Alice) Roy; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gayth Roy; second husband, John Sloan; and six brothers and sisters. At Marjorie’s request, no services will be held.
