Mark T. Barrett

Funeral Services, celebrating the life of Mark T. Barrett, 54, “legend of Buckeye Lake”, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, in the chapel of the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville St, Newark. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mark passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, in the Hospice Care Center at L.M.H., Newark, following an extended illness. He was born April 29, 1968, in Newark, the son of Mary Barrett. Mark graduated from Lakewood H.S. class of 1986, was an avid Baseball and softball player. He worked in construction and contracting for many years.

He is survived by his family: Mother Mary Barrett Campbell, his children Troy (Chelsea) Barrett, Holly Barrett, Alyssa (Dylan) Adkins-Barrett, Blaze (Junior) Holsinger Barrett; his brother Brian Campbell, sisters Michelle (Ed) Thomas and Holly Campbell; his grandchildren Jayden, Ariana, Colson, Zoey, Addison, Aryah, Baylee, and Shawndale; along with several nieces and nephews; and his good friend Jeff, along with many other friends.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be sent directly to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
