Mark D. Kirkpatrick, Sr., age 68, of Newark passed away on April 9, 2019 at Altercare of Newark South. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 30, 1950 to the late Ralph Eugene and Virginia Eileen (Krumm) Kirkpatrick. Mark proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was member of the Newark American Legion, Post #85. He was an outdoorsman, where he enjoyed fishing and panning for gold. He was also a geography and history buff. Survivors include his children, Mark (Kelly) Kirkpatrick, Joshua Kirkpatrick, Matthew Kirkpatrick, Jamie Kirkpatrick, Mandy Kirkpatrick and Jeremiah (Erika) Kirkpatrick; sisters, Deborah Gant, Peggy Kirkpatrick, Christina Hoffer; brothers, Brad (Candace) Kirkpatrick, Terry (Traci) Kirkpatrick, Jerry (Alison) Kirkpatrick and Troy (Stefanie) Kirkpatrick; sister-in-law, Cheryl Kirkpatrick; and numerous grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jason Kirkpatrick; brother, Steve Kirkpatrick; and brother-in-law, Paul “Punk” Gant.
