Mark Douglas Mckinster

Mark Douglas McKinster, age 74, of Millersport, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, January 1, 2024. Mark was born January 11, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ray and Donna Jean (Van Gundy) McKinster.

Mark retired a number of years ago and had been employed in the painting and foam insulation industry. He was a member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles #2801 and was a lifetime member of the NRA. Mark enjoyed golf, Corvettes, and loved the beach.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Neubig McKinster; three children, Mindi (Corey) Campbell, Matthew McKinster, and Amy Copeland (Shane Wright), all of Hebron; six grandchildren, Zackery Leffman, Breanna Copeland, Tyler Copeland, Hannah Faulkner, Emalin McKinster, and Tatum McKinster; brothers, Dennis (Diana) McKinster of Lancaster; sister, Marsha (Guy) Coffman of Reynoldsburg; many friends; and his beloved Yorkies, Ashleigh, Tammy, and Micah.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney McKinster; and his beloved Yorkie, Donovan.

Family and friends may call from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, January 12, at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairfield County Animal Shelter.
