Mark Alan Watson, 60, of Pataskala, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born September 15, 1961, in Lancaster to Glen E. Watson and Mary (Yeager) Hurdiss. Mark retired as a corrections officer from Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare after more than 30 years. He enjoyed drag racing, trips to Pigeon Forge, and vacations on cruise ships with his family. Mark loved spending time with his family and enjoyed spending time with all of his friends and racing family. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Cheryl; daughters, Deedra (Kody) Moss and Alicia (Richard) Wasdin; stepchildren, Candace (Tim) Seberig, Shawn (Becca) Jarvis, Deena (Jesse) Parks, Jack (Danielle) Patterson and Jammie Lane; his mother and step father, Mary and James Hurdiss; siblings, Rick Watson, Kim Kendall, Jeff (Jennifer) Watson, Bryce (Courtney) Taylor, Ashley (Trevor) Cunningham, and Brian (Julia) Watson; grandson, Mylo who has been the light during this hard time and many other grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Watson and sister, Glenna Faye Pound. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Calling hours will be Monday, May 2, 2022, from 1-3pm and 5-8pm at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 East Main St. where the funeral service will be Tuesday, May 3rd at 10:00am with Pastor Steve Dunn officiating. The procession will take a trip through NTR for the "Last Call to the Ready Line". Burial will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.
