Marla Sue Brooks

Marla Sue Brooks, age 66, of Heath, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Marla was born January 16, 1954 in Newark, Ohio.

Marla was the front end manager at Brooks IGA in Coshocton for many years. Most recently, she provided childcare in her home. Marla enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Dean Brooks, whom she married August 24, 1980; sons, Andy Gene (Charlotte) Davis of Johnstown, Joe (Melissa) Brooks of Buckeye Lake and Nick Brooks of Heath; grandchildren, Kaden Davis, Mattie Davis, Clay Davis, Aly Brooks, Haley Brooks, Bethany Brooks and Emily brooks; mother, Caroline (Roelle) Monroe; sisters, Jeannie Miller of Buckeye Lake and Jennifer Miller of Hebron; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father, Paul Dean Miller; step-father, Ray Monroe; and a sister, Teri Wright.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, at the Hebron Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service. Masks must be worn in the funeral home. Please practice social distancing.
