Marlene Helen Drennen

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Marlene Helen Drennen, 75, of Pataskala, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Roger Massie as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Kirkersville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until time of the funeral services at 1:00 p.m.

Marlene died January 15, 2022. She was born May 9, 1946 in West Lafayette, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Helen (Young) Sharrock.

She retired after over thirty years with A.T.&T./Lucent Technologies. Marlene had a great love for God, she attended the Pataskala Church of Christ and Jersey Baptist Church. She loved being outside gardening and watching birds. She was very creative and loved crafting. She loved helping people and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her family: Her husband Denver Drennen, her children Denise Linley of Newark and Jason (Christy) Drennen of Pataskala; her 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; her sister Mary McCoun, Darlene (Stan) Colbert and Clara Wright; her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six sisters and brothers.
