Martha J. Darner, a beloved resident of Heath, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on August 16, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio, Martha's life was a testament to love, family, and community.
Martha was a devoted homemaker, whose life revolved around nurturing her family and her many friendships. Her hands were rarely still, busy with puzzles, crocheting, and a myriad of yarn projects that displayed her creative talents. An avid gardener, Martha spent countless hours cultivating her garden, finding joy in the beauty of nature. She cherished socializing and treasured the time spent with her family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Martha is survived by her loving son, Doug (Judy) Darner; devoted daughter, Tina Darner; and brothers, Lester (Darlene) Long and James (Clarice) Hazelbaker. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Garrett, Farren, Ashley, Courtney, Rachael, and Stevie, along with 13 great-grandchildren and two great great grandhchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Martha was a friend to many and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, also named Martha J. Darner, who now welcomes her into eternal peace, along with a sister, Roseann Hazelbaker; and brother, William Long.
As per Martha's own wishes, no formal services will be held. Her family will honor her memory in a private gathering, a reflection of the love and warmth she brought into their lives.
