Martha E. Ellis

Martha E. Ellis, 82, of Newark, passed away at Grant Medical Center on June 11, 2021. She was born in Newark, Ohio on September 6, 1938 to the late George and Helen Wheeler. Martha was a devoted homemaker to her family. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Newark Moose Lodge and a former member of the Newark Eagles. Survivors include her children, Charles Wheeler, Michael (Debbie) Ellis, William Ellis, Hazel (Jack) Chidester, Donny (Rocky) VanValkenburg and Ronald Jones; 32 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Ellis; and daughters, Paula Nicodemus and Rhonda Ellis Yates.
