Martha Jean Anspach, 82, of Newark, formerly of Jacksontown, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at her daughter-in-laws home in Powell following a brief illness. Martha was born January 21, 1930, in Thornville, the daughter of the late Ivan and Cora (Shelly) Cooperrider. She was a 1947 graduate of Thornville H.S., and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church.Martha enjoyed her family, all sporting events (especially OSU), and was an honored volunteer at Licking Memorial Hospital, where she had served from 2-8-1983, and received the Presidents Volunteer Service award in 2008.G-G is survived by her loving family: daughter-in-law Sally Anspach (Mrs Nicholas) of Powell, her grandchildren Julia (Jay) Stoner, Jamison (Kristin) Anspach all of Dublin; her brother Glenn E. (Lois) Cooperrider of Thornville; her great-grandchildren Rylee, Sammy, Reagan, Delayney, Zak and Haydyn; along with her sisters-in-law Julia (Mrs Carl) and Beulah (Mrs Maurice) Cooperrider; many nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-son Nick in 2009; her husband Lewis in 1985, and her sister Thelma Greathouse, and brothers Carl, Maurice, Lewis and Robert Cooperrider.Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. immediately prior to the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the Thornville home of the Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service, 56 S Main St.,Thornville; where an on-line video tribute and guest register is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.Memorials may be directed to the Licking Memorial Hospital Volunteer Services department.
