Martha Alice Lutz

Funeral Services, celebrating the life of Martha Alice Lutz, 87, of Millersport, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 in the Grace Lutheran Church, Thornville with Pastor Tom Jacobson as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Church and again on Friday Morning from 10-11 am immediately prior to the funeral service.

Martha passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 25, with her family at her side. She was born June 27, 1935 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Owen and Lillian (Fisher) Daniels. She was a graduate of Thornville H.S., class of 1953, and was a lifelong farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church from where she was baptized, confirmed and married.

Martha enjoyed baking and making desserts. She also enjoyed crafts.

She is survived by her loving family: her husband John Lutz whom she married on June 5, 1954; her children Junee Van Dyke, Kimberly Lutz, and John (Leigh Ann) Lutz; her grandchildren Brent Barrett, Justin Barrett (Andrea), Shea Canaday (Katie), Courtney Van Dyke, Kelsey Sliker (Mark) John A. Lutz IV; her great grandchildren Nick, Summer, Taylor, Parker and Harper; along with her sister Edna Binckley and Mary Wilkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Ralph Fisher, Chester and Russell Daniels, Clara Wilson and Esther Cayton.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the Grace Lutheran Church, 65 E Columbus St. Thornville, Ohio 43076.
