Martha Agnes "Marty" Moyer

Martha Agnes “Marty” Hamm Moyer, age 88, of Newark, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Martha was born November 15, 1932 in Newark, Ohio to the late Dewey H. and Freda M. (Dupler) Evans.

Marty was a nursing assistant for many years and also did private duty nursing. She was a member of the Newark Church of Christ and enjoyed painting, writing poems, gardening and had many fun times gambling.

She is survived by four children, Charles F. (Pamela) Hamm of Granville, Terri Miles and her partner, Gary Phillips, of Newark, Dodi (Tim) Zimmerman of Bonita Springs, Florida and Timothy L. (Betty) Hamm of Newark; nine grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold F. Hamm in 1999; by her husband, Albert J. Moyer, in 2011; and her sister, Marie Evans.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Aging Program.

A private family service will be observed and Marty will be laid to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
