Mary Ellen Grove

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mary Ellen Grove, 84, of Newark, will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Mary was born in Alexandria, Ohio on September 13, 1937 to the late Gerald and Margaret (Miller) Grove. She passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on August 16, 2022. Mary worked at LICCO for many years.. She enjoyed bowling, rocking the grandchildren, dancing, shopping, listening to Elvis and watching westerns and soap operas . She will be missed by everyone that knew her. Survivors include her niece, Sherry (Craig) Peck; nephew, Jamie (Lynn) Carter; great nieces and nephews, L.J. (Christa) Riggleman, Brevin Riggleman, Brandon Riggleman, Matt (Tynika) Carter and Justin Carter; great great nieces and nephews; special cousin, Janet Anderson; and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Carter. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary to the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
