Mary Elaine Moore

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary E. Moore, age 84, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mary was born on October 31, 1933 in Baltimore, MD to the late Roland and Margaret (White) Rode. She passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center on December 22, 2017. Mary was Catholic by faith. She enjoyed watching soap operas, going to Jolly Pirate Donuts, dancing, swimming, shopping, going to yard sales and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Sherwood (Denise) Moore, Steven Moore, Stewart (Diana) Moore and Mark (Pauline) Moore; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Sherman Moore; daughter, Melanie Wyeth; nine brothers and sisters and special friends, Bebe and Miss Anna.
