Mary Jane (Hupp) Hollar

November 21, 1929 — February 14, 2017

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mary Jane (Hupp) Hollar, age 74, of Newark, will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Rusty Foley officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Sunday, two hours prior to the funeral service, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Mary Jane was born in Newark on November 22, 1942 to the late John Hupp Sr. and Mary (Hanzey) Hupp-Roe. She passed away at her residence on February 14, 2017. Mary Jane was a devoted homemaker. She was a former member of the Ancient Order of Druids in Newark. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, making home remedies and was an animal lover, especially her cats. Most important in her life was her was spending time with her loving family. Survivors include her two children, Tammy (Steven) Hollar Carrelli and Robert (Angela) A. Hollar; grandchildren, Amber, Heather, Derek, Katrina and Mariah; great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Hunter; half-brother, Earl Roe; and one niece and nephew and numerous friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Hollar, in 1984; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Brenda Hollar; brother, John Hupp; grandson, Brandon; and great granddaughter, Kylee.
