A funeral mass, celebrating the life of Mary Janice Forsythe, 84, formerly of Harbor Hills, will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Buckeye Lake. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery, near St Louisville.Janice died peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2015, following an extended illness. She was born in Hebron, on July 30, 1930, the daughter of the late Othmar and Eva (Morgan) Frischen. She was a 1948 graduate of Hebron H.S., had worked at Dawsons 5 & 10 in Hebron, prior to going to work for Lakewood schools in the cafeteria at Hebron elementary for many years. But the job she liked the best was wife, mother and homemaker to her family.She was a life-long active member of the Hebron community, belonging to Hebron Mothers club, Harbor Hills Ladies Club and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.She also enjoyed traveling, and spending quality time with her grandchildren.She is survived by her loving family: son Scott (Sandy) Forsythe of Lewis Center, daughter Kari (Will) Clarke of Wilmette, Illinois; grandchildren Ashley ( fianc Tyler Duffy), Matt, Ronan, J.P. and Tatum; brother Sonny (Rosemary) Frischen of Kirkersville, several nieces and nephews, and her good friends Nancy Smith and Patty Zollinger.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dale, and sisters Virginia Parr, Gerry Lawson and Maxine Cain, and lifetime friend Virginia George.The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Stadium Project at Lakewood High School, with checks payable to Lakewood Athletic Boosters.
