Funeral services for Mary F. Lawrence, 81, of Hebron, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020, in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastors Tina Black and Morgan Wickizer as celebrants. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 21, from 4 until 7 pm at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. Mary passed away on January 31, 2020, in Newark following an extended illness. She was born in Buckeye Lake, on Sept 17, 1938, the daughter of the late Lester and Viola (Weekly) Bauman. She was a graduate of Hebron H.S., class of 1956, and a longtime member of the Hebron Christian Church. A talented seamstress, she enjoyed sewing and babysitting. She had worked for the Lakewood Local Schools. She was a member of the Harbor Hills CC, where she had a “Hole in One” on hole #7 from the men’s tees. She also enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She was a member of the Hebron Fire Sirens. She is survived by her loving family: husband Bob Lawrence, whom she married on May 23, 1960; her daughters Jennifer Meek, Beth Lothes and Amy Mason; her grandchildren Chase (Mindy) Mason, Ashley Meek, Colbey (Justin) Amspaugh, Shayla and Corey Lothes; her great grandchildren Emily, Austin, Anthony, Madi and Keegan; her brother Cease Bauman; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her good friends Jackie Bowman, Marianne Amspaugh, Jean Hart, Carol Rhea and Karen Birtcher; along with her canine companion “Mr. Wesson”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Ernest, Chumsey, Forest, John, and her sister Norma Lee Park; along with her son-in-law Greg Lothes.
