A graveside service for Mary Lee Neel Griffith, 96, of Hebron, will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Licking Cemetery with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating.Mrs. Griffith passed away on July 12, 2015 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born June 23, 1919 to the late Virgil and Lella Mae (Cochran) Neel.She was a lifetime member of Hebron United Methodist Church, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. She graduated from Hebron High School, Class of 1937. She attended Newark College of Commerce and was employed by Ohio Power Company for 45 years. She was a member of Ohio Power Veterans Association; Hebron American Legion Auxiliary Post 285; 55 Plus Club; and the National Audubon Society. She loved sharing her hobbies with her late husband, Fritz, of birding and traveling to other states to observe them.Survivors include a special niece and her husband, Paula and Larry Linter; special friends, Frances and Chester Gault; along with other nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George (Fritz) Griffith in 1988; step-mother, Beulah Beaver; and half-sister, Marlene Neel.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Griffith to the Building Fund at Hebron New Life United Methodist Church, 925 West Main Street, Box 459, Hebron, Ohio 43025.The Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for the Griffith family.
