A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Lou Embree, 78, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with Pastor Rusty Foley officiating. Burial will follow at Jacksontown Cemetery.Mary Lou was born in Muskingum County on August 23, 1936 to the late Illian and Mary (Forsythe) Adams. She passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center on July 6, 2015 while surrounded by family.Mary Lou graduated from Newark High School, Class of 1954. Prior to retirement, she worked many years at DFAS in Columbus. She was also co-owner of Embree and Sons Sheet Metal in Baltimore. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.Survivors include her children, Randy (Susan) Embree of Thornville, Rhonda (Richard) Wells of Bradenton, FL, and Michael Embree of Newark; grandchildren, Brian (Allison), Nicole (Mike), Jason (Hannah), Sara (Jamison), Lindsey and Marisa (Matt); great grandchildren, Reese, Hailie, Collin, Vedder, Mavrick, Chelsea and Shadow; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger A.
